Mixed Media
My mixed media pieces further explore combinations of nontraditional materials. What if I use falling gold leaf as the hint of a flower? How can I layer paint and paper and fiber paste to achieve sculptural effects? What materials work on nonporous substrates? Porous? What about adding shredded currency or newspaper into a collage? How about wire added? How do different types of paper interact when layering? It is an iterative process of experimentation, and the possibilities are endless.
